1. Overall connection form
The simple series connection of LED1 ~ LEDN is typically connected to the end and tail. When LED is in use, the current flows equally amongst all of the LEDs. Although the voltage on a single LED may vary slightly, if they are of the same specifications and batches, the LED's inherent current characteristics ensure that the luminous intensity remains consistent. As a result, the simple series LED offers the benefits of a straightforward circuit and effortless connectivity.
One drawback of using LEDs in a series connection is that if one LED malfunctions, all the other LEDs in the series will also stop working. This can significantly impact the reliability of the overall LED lighting system.
Second, the overall parallel form
Simple parallel form
The LED1 ~ LEDN in the simple parallel form is connected in parallel, and each LED is equal to each LED. It can be seen from the characteristics of LEDs that it belongs to a current device, and the slight changes in voltage added to the LED will cause major changes in current. In addition, due to the limitations of LED manufacturing technology, even the same batch of LEDs, there are differences in performance.
