LED display scanning method calculation method

A: Scanning mode: In a certain display area, the ratio of the number of lit rows to the number of rows in the entire area.

Indoor single and double colors are generally 1/16 scan, indoor full color is generally 1/8 scan, outdoor single and double colors are generally 1/4 scan,

Outdoor full color is generally static scanning.

At present, the driving mode of LED display on the market has two kinds of static scanning and dynamic scanning, static scanning is divided into static real pixels and static virtual, dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic real image and dynamic virtual; the driver parts are generally used domestic HC595, Taiwan MBI5026, Japan Toshiba TB62726, generally 1/2 sweep, 1/4 sweep, 1/8 sweep, 1/16 sweep.

To cite: a commonly used full-color module pixel is 16*8 (2R1G1B), if driven with MBI5026, the module uses a total of 16*8*(2+1+1)=512, MBI5026 is a 16-bit chip, 512/16=32

Led display working principle

A: Liquid crystal, a liquid crystal, is a very special substance. It is both liquid-like and has some optical properties of crystals. Liquid crystal was discovered in 1888 by the Austrian botanist Reinitzer, is a kind of organic compound between solid and liquid, with a regular molecular arrangement, the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules has a certain order, and this order is very sensitive to external conditions, such as temperature, electromagnetic field changes. Under the action of the electric field, the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules will change, thus affecting its optical properties, this phenomenon is called electro-optical effect.

LED display gray level

A: Grayscale, also known as color scale or grayscale, refers to the degree of brightness and darkness. For digital display technology, grayscale is the determinant of the number of colors displayed. In general, the higher the grayscale, the richer the color displayed, the more delicate the picture, and the easier it is to express rich details.

The gray level depends mainly on the number of A/D conversion bits of the system. Of course, the system's video processing chip, memory and transmission system must provide the corresponding bit of support. At present, the domestic LED display mainly adopts 8-bit processing system, that is, 256 (28) level grayscale. The simple understanding is that there are 256 brightness variations from black to white. The use of RGB three primary colors can constitute 256×256×256 = 16777216 colors. This is commonly referred to as 16 megachromatic colors. International brand display mainly uses 10-bit processing system, that is, 1024 levels of grayscale, RGB three primary colors can constitute 1.07 billion colors.
